I study the interaction between ecology and diversity in the fossil record using the planktic graptolites, the Eugraptoloidea, a clade of colonial zooplankton from the lower Paleozoic. My research focuses on their phylogenetic relationships, developing methods for measuring hydrodynamic function from their morphology and analysis of this data with phylogenetic comparative methods.
