Research Title: Rules of Life in SRB Biofilms Interacting with Metal Materials.
Biofilm growth in several areas like civil water infrastructure, oil, and gas sectors and marine manufacturing is proved to be challenging and thereby causing multi-million-dollar loss to these specified areas. Therefore, to deal with this issue there is an urge to explore the underlying mechanisms and expression profile along with other physiological and material property characteristics. The key mechanism for biofilm formation can be unveiled with the help of omics, microbial kinetics, metallurgical properties and system biology. Further transcriptomic analysis will be collaborated in order to determine the transcriptome of biofilm samples grown on 2D material, moreover, help in tracking the gene expression and identification of novel genes responsible for Cu stress resistance.
