Research Title: Thermophilic Exopolysaccharides: Replacements for Synthetic Polymers in Transdermal Drug Delivery”

The purpose of this research is to examine the capabilities of a film comprised of thermophilic exopolysaccharides as a potential transdermal drug delivery tool. Recent issues regarding toxicity with synthetic polymers has led to the discussion of utilizing natural polysaccharides to take the place of man-made polymers. It has been widely reported that the research with EPS has yielded results that revealed next to no toxicity of any kind.
